Welcome to My Albatross

Welcome to the Little Grey Studio. My name is Stephanie and I live in this 1932 Bungalow home along with my wonderful husband, enchanting daughter and silly boxer in a historic small town on the coast of Virginia. We are slowly renovating the home and when the dust settles now and then I like to spend my time sewing, crocheting, painting, photographing, baking, thrifting, crafting, attempting to garden, knitting, dabbling in mixed media and decorating.  I am writing this blog not only to share a bit about what is happening in the studio but also to hold myself accountable. Accountable for all of the wonderful wisps of ideas that run through my mind but never come to fruition due to the distractions of life. Whether its because I am enjoying the everyday tasks of caring for my young daughter, trying to tackle some insurmountable teetering tower of laundry or simply my love of Doc Martin and American Pickers, for some reason or another I always lose focus of my passion to create. This blog is to help me stay on track. One of my all time favorite writings is Coleridge's Rime of the Ancient Mariner, I refer to this blog as my albatross, it is not a burden but a guide to the direction I need to go, lets hope my albatross doesnt meet the same fate as in the poem. So thank you so much for visiting and keeping me on my toes. I hope you enjoy the glimpse into my little grey studio.

  2. Paint?!?!!! Oh, my heart goes out to you both :) Hard work, but very satisfying in the end. I was wondering about the 'grey' part... I thought my eyes were just not seeing it.
